Amihr Bess rushed 20 times for 141 yards and a touchdown in Notre Dame-West Haven’s 35-13 win over Fairfield Prep Friday in a Southern Connecticut Conference interdivision football game at Fairfield.
The Green Knights scored 22 unanswered points in the second half. Sean Goldrich threw for two touchdowns for Notre Dame (6-3). Alex Fossi kicked a 43-yard and 30-yard field goals for Fairfield Prep (3-6).

Derby 28, Crosby 14: Ray Kreiger threw for 151 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Red Raiders over Crosby in a Naugatuck Valley League game at Derby.

Guilford 28, Foran 13: Ethan Curry ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to lift the Indians over the Lions in SCC interdivision play at Guilford.

Amity 34, Wilbur Cross 12: Kyle Kalanta rushed 18 times for 70 yards and one touchdown and added 77 receiving yards and another score for Amity in a SCC Division I interdivision victory at Woodbridge.

Law 36, East Haven 14: Mark Elliot ran 18 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns as the Lawmen coasted to an SCC interdivision win at Milford.

Maloney 50, Tolland 21: Riley Lefebvre caught 56-yard and 32-yard touchdown passes from Ryan Belote and Lefebvre also scored on an 89-yard kickoff return to lead the Spartans to their CCC interdivision win in Meriden.

Cheshire 23, Shelton 6: Jake Scinto caught three passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams cruised to an SCC interdivision victory over the Gaels at Cheshire.
Evan Gaudio had 17 tackles for Cheshire (4-5). Jon Groth connected with JP Olival for an 11-yard touchdown for Shelton (5-4).

Brookfield 40, Bunnell 12: Boeing Brown threw for three touchdowns to lift the Bobcats to their South-West Conference win at Brookfield.

North Haven 24, Lyman Hall 13

Sophomore Jalon White rushed 21 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and senior Chris Matteis gained 141 yards on 21 carries and one touchdown, for the host Indians in this SCC Division II victory at Vanacore Field.

North Haven (8-1) has won eight straight games and kept alive its Class L state playoff hopes.

Nate Alleyne added a 25-yard touchdown run for the Indians.

Zac Falconeri (nine carries, 43 yards) scored on a 2-yard run, and Joe DeSandre caught a 73-yard touchdown pass from his brother John DeSandre, for Lyman Hall (7-2), which had its seven-game winning streak snapped.

Ansonia 55, Seymour 21

Montrell Dobbs rushed 21 times for 315 yards and six touchdowns to lead the host Chargers to this NVL Brass Division victory.

Arkeel Newsome scored on a 90-yard run, and Andrew Matos caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Elliot Chudwick, for No. 7 Ansonia (9-0).

Southington's Hernandez suspended

Southington coach D.J. Hernandez was suspended for one game after admitting to having possession of a card containing coded Manchester plays and attempting to use the card during Manchester's first offensive drive of the third quarter, this from the Hartford Courant.

Naugy at Ansonia tickets

Pre-sale tickets for the Naugatuck at Ansonia Thanksgiving Day football game will be available starting next Wednesday (Nov. 17) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ansonia High School.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for high school students and $2 for seniors and students in grades five through eighth.

All tickets are $5 at the gate. Kickoff is set for 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 25.
