Big second quarter lifts Sheehan past Lyman Hall

Sheehan scored 34 second-quarter points despite running just eight offensive plays to break open a close game and roll to a 54-7 over city rival Lyman Hall.

Rafhael Dominguez, who ran nine times for 131 yards, had touchdown runs of 4 and 48 yards in the second quarter. Bobby Carey returned an interception 96 yards for a score and caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Jeremy Gannon and Gannon hooked up with Brandon Gauthier for a 76-yard score.

Gannon had a 3-yard touchdown run on the Titans’ first drive. Bruce Rutkowski had a 40-yard scoring run and Nolan Cloutier a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Sheehan (6-5).

Dominguez went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark during the first half and Jordan Lytle set a Sheehan single-season record with his 52nd solo tackle.

Koby Mensah, who ran for 87 yards, had the only score for Lyman Hall (2-9) on a 27-yard run in the third quarter.
