Minor changes in Top 10 Poll

One team debuted in the Top 10 this week, while four of the Top 5 remained the same. New Canaan is still No. 1.

To see the complete poll, check out Tuesday's Register.

Also look for a note on Derby/O'Brien Tech and Law. Both teams are 2-1 after big victories last week.

Fortt picks Penn. St.

Stamford linebacker Khairi Fortt made an oral commitment to play football at Penn. St. Fortt is expected to make the announcement at a press conference at Stamford High later today.

Fortt also had offers from Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, and North Carolina.

He is widely considered the state's best player, and he's rated as the No. 2 player at his position in the country on the Internet recruiting site Scout.com.

Fortt, however, has been battling a knee injury, which has sidelined him the last two games.

Also Monday, Fortt was selected to play in the 2010 Army All-American Bowl.

The event is the premier high school football game in the country. The game will take place Jan. 9 at noon at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Tx., and will be broadcast on NBC.
