Masuk 42, Bunnell 20

Senior running back Chris Cosmedy rushed 12 times for 118 yards and two second-half touchdowns to lead Masuk (6-1) to a 42-20 South-West Conference victory over No. 4 Bunnell (6-1) at Stratford.

The loss snaps the Bulldogs' 21-game winning streak, dating back to 2006 when Bunnell won the first of its consecutive Class L state titles. The Bulldogs had beaten Masuk six of the last seven times, including five straight. Bunnell defeated the Panthers three times last season, including in both the SWC and Class L championship.

Junior Alex Trump rushed 10 times for 61 yards and two scores for Masuk. Senior quarterback Bobby Baker was 13 of 22 for 222 yards and two touchdowns, both to senior Justin Conte.

Bunnell quarterback Chris Sloat threw two touchdown passes to Mark Harrison. Harrison left the game in the third quarter with an apparent shoulder injury.
