Senior running back Tristan Roberts rushed 26 times for 153 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 6 Ansonia to a 42-14 victory over Kennedy as the Chargers claimed the Naugatuck Valley League championship.

It was the third straight NVL title for Ansonia (10-1).

Senior quarterback Ron Bilodeau completed 9 of 13 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Tyrell Moore caught five passes for 155 yards and one touchdowns. Junior Sheldon Clark caught a 16-yard touchdown pass.

The Chargers led 35-6 at halftime.
