Public Act 10-62 requires anyone with a coaching permit issued by the state Board of Education to be trained in how to recognize and respond to head injuries and concussions. Coaches also must take the athlete out of practice or a game if he shows signs of having suffered a concussion or has been diagnosed with a concussion.
