West Haven's Ed McCarthy likely to miss a week
West Haven coach Ed McCarthy will likely miss this week’s contest with Sheehan on Friday, according to West Haven athletic director Jon Capone.
“Due to medical reasons, he’ll likely be out this week,” Capone said. “I’m not 100 percent sure, but I’ll say I’m 90 percent sure.”
Capone acknowledged that McCarthy experienced chest discomfort on Saturday evening and sought medical help.
Capone added that McCarthy was still being evaluated but did not have further information at this time. West Haven Assistant Rich Boshea will serve as interim head coach in McCarthy’s absence.
