HYDE WINS
Elijah Nixon caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from James Baker-Howard to lead the host Hyde football team to a 25-6 Pequot Conference Sassacus Division victory over Haddam-Killingworth Saturday at New Haven.

Gary Ormond and Devon Dolphin each had rushing touchdowns for the Howling Wolves (6-0), while Matthew Sheffield returned a fumble 15 yards for another score.
Robert Fairweather had six tackles, including one sack, and Mark Kendrick had five tackles and recovered one fumble to lead the defense for Hyde.

Hamden Hall 35, Rye (N.Y.) 27: Chris Breuler threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns to lead the visiting Hornets to this prep school win at Rye, N.Y.

Dante Brito had 210 yards of total offense and caught two touchdown passes, Curtis Antrum ran for 155 yards and Brandon Cooper had a sack and two fumble recoveries for Hamden Hall.

Oxford 35, Notre Dame-Fairfield 12: Jordan Baigioni caught just three passes but all three went for touchdowns for Oxford in its South-West Conference win at Fairfield.

Baigioni finished with 173 receiving yards and quarterback Brennen Diaz completed 6 of 12 passes for 199 yards and those three scores for the Wolverines (4-2). Nick Donofrio rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

Woodland 30, Torrington 20: Matt Zaccagnini scored rushing touchdowns of 9 and 7 yards to lead the Hawks to this Naugatuck Valley League Copper Division victory at Torrington.
Jack DeBiase carried 16 times for 165 yards and one touchdown, Craig Kenz scored on a 5-yard run and Eric Collodel returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown for Woodland (4-2, 3-0).
