Mozealous named at Amity

Amity athletic director Paul Mengold announced that Bert Mozealous has been named the Spartans' football coach, taking over for Mike DeVito, who stepped down in the off-season.

Mozealous was a special teams/receivers coach last season. He coached as an assistant at Amity in the 1970s, and returned to the program in 1999, where he's been ever since. Mozealous is retired from his full-time job as an elementary school teacher and now works part-time as a substitute at the high school.

"He's coached every facet of the game since he's been here," Mengold said.
