Mella resigns at Southington

According to Tom Yantz and the Hartford Courant.
This is what Yantz wrote:
Bill Mella has announced his resignation as Southington football coach to take an assistant offensive line coaching position at Wesleyan. His career record at Southington in five seasons was 43-13, including 5-5 last year. He directed two teams to the Class LL championship game: 2005 when the Blue Knights lost to Xavier 45-30 and in '06 when they lost to Greenwich 28-7. Mella is familiar with Wesleyan and NESCAC. He had been an assistant coach at Trinity for six years before he started at Southington in 2005.
