Senior quarterback Greg Palmer scored on a 5-yard touchdown run with 6:06 left in the fourth quarter to lift Cheshire past Wilbur Cross in a SCC Division I East contest at New Haven.

Brian Havlicek intercepted a pass to set up the winning drive for the No. 6 Rams (3-0). It took Cheshire just four plays to score after taking over on the Governors' 29.

Maurice Morrison caught two touchdown passes from Dontay Long for Wilbur Cross (2-1).
