Michael Palmquist kicked a 25-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Ansonia football team to a 16-13 Naugatuck Valley League win over visiting Crosby Friday.

Bobby Kinnebrew carried 14 times for 125 yards and a touchdown for the Chargers (2-0), which won its 700th game.

Ansonia, ranked No. 7 in the Register Top 10 Poll, has a career record of 700-229-57.
