Andre Lawrence, who was a 2007 Register All-State selection at linebacker, has verbally committed to Boston College.

Lawrence, who played running back and linebacker for the Owls last season, and will be a senior in the fall, had offers from UConn, Iowa, Maryland and West Point.

Lawrence, 6-feet-1, 195 pounds, will likely play quarterback and safety next season. He is projeced to be a weakside linebacker in college.
