Fourth Northeast Football Showcase deadline approaching
VIA PRESS RELEASE
The deadline to register for the 4th Northeast Football Showcase being held Saturday May 11 at Sage Park, Berlin is Friday May 3rd. The Northeast Football Showcase provides high school and junior college football players the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities to DII and DIII college coaches from throughout the Northeast.
This year’s showcase is directed by Mike Ciotti, Assistant Football Coach at Hand. This is Ciotti’s second year as showcase director, and brings great knowledge and experience to this event.
For the fourth year in a row, CT Sports Management Group has teamed up with “Play In College”, an online college recruiting tool used by coaches to follow and contact potential recruits. Each participant will have their trials filmed, and posted along with their profile on www.playincollege.org. This profile will also provide coaches with every participant’s academic profile, athletic achievements and contact information. Athletes can send this video link to any schools they are interested in.

The showcase will start at 9 a.m. and run through 1 p.m. The showcase will consist of individual skills, including the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, standing jump and pro-agility shuttle. Participants will then take part in offensive and defensive drills by position. The events will conclude with one on one drills and an important lecture on the NCAA and the recruiting process given by the experts to inform both parents and the athletes’ about their prospective future.
