Wilson, Seymour spoil O'Brien Tech's debut

Senior tailback Jon Wilson scored five touchdowns for Seymour in a 42-14 non-conference victory over O'Brien Tech Wednesday at DeFilippo Field in Derby.

It marked the first win for the Wildcats (1-0) since defeating Crosby on Oct. 30, 2009.

O'Brien Tech was playing its first varsity game in school history. The Condors had been members of a co-op with Derby the past four seasons.

Wilson scored on touchdown runs of 60, 3 and 14 yards, caught a 22-yard TD pass from senior quarterback Luke Grabowski, and ran back a punt return 60 yards for another score.

Wilson finished with 106 yards on eight carries. Jack Briggs added a 34-yard TD run for Seymour.

Frank Corso rushed 19 times for 137 yards and a score for O'Brien Tech (0-1).

Josh Gordan caught a 14-yard TD pass from Nick Coppola for the Condors.
