Junior WR/DB Tristan Roberts was dismissed from the team this week following an arrest. Sources indicate that drugs were involved.

Ansonia coach Tom Brockett wouldn't elaborate on the charges but confirmed that Roberts was dismissed for "violating team policy."

Roberts is top-ranked Ansonia's best receiver. He has scored three touchdowns this season, one rushing, one receiving and one on a kickoff return.

Ansonia hosts Woodland in a key Naugatuck Valley League game on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
